From spectators to protagonists: Krokanti Games at the Hexagon Cup and World Padel Awards
A Magical Week at La Caja Mágica
If there's something that defines us as a team at Krokanti Games, beyond our passion for video games, it's our love for padel. That's why when we had the opportunity to experience the Hexagon Cup 2026 from the inside and be part of the World Padel Awards, we didn't hesitate for a second.
From January 28 to February 1, Madrid became the world capital of padel. La Caja Mágica hosted the third edition of the Generali Hexagon Cup, a tournament that's revolutionizing the padel world with its unique team format and brought together the planet's best players.

The Hexagon Cup Spectacle
Attending the Hexagon Cup was an incredible experience. Watching padel stars compete live in such a dynamic and exciting format reminded us why we embarked on the Padel Rivals project: we want to capture that energy, that excitement, and that intensity in a video game.
The team format, with three pairs (men's, women's, and Next Gen) per team, created spectacular matches and an amazing atmosphere. From Robert Lewandowski's team (RL9 Padel Team) featuring Agustín Tapia and Ari Sánchez, to Pierre Gasly's X Padel Team, to Team Bella with Arturo Coello and Bea González.
As padel fans, being there, experiencing every point, every comeback, every celebration... it was pure inspiration for our development.
Krokanti Games at the World Padel Awards
But the experience went far beyond being spectators. On January 28, coinciding with the start of the Hexagon Cup, the 11th edition of the PadelSpain World Padel Awards took place, and Krokanti Games was there as an official sponsor of the event.
The World Padel Awards are the "Oscars of padel," the gala that recognizes the best players, coaches, clubs, and figures in the global padel ecosystem. With 339,458 votes from fans worldwide, the ceremony brought together the sport's biggest stars.

The Honor of Presenting an Award
The most special part of the night was having the honor of presenting the award for Best Amateur Circuit. This prize recognizes the work of competitions that are driving grassroots padel, the padel of people who, like us, enjoy the sport every weekend.
For an indie studio like Krokanti Games, building a padel video game designed for both professionals and enthusiasts, being part of a ceremony celebrating the entire padel ecosystem was a unique moment.
Being on that stage, surrounded by the sport's legends and witnessing recognition for amateur padel, reaffirmed our vision: Padel Rivals must be a game for everyone, from those dreaming of going pro to those who simply want to enjoy a match with friends.
Why This Matters for Padel Rivals
Experiences like this aren't just marketing or networking. They're field research in its purest form. Seeing how the audience reacts, which plays generate the most excitement, how the professional padel spectacle works... all of that directly feeds into Padel Rivals development.
We want our game to capture that same energy we felt at La Caja Mágica. We want every match in Padel Rivals to have that intensity, that excitement, that emotional connection that makes padel one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
Thanks to the Padel Community
We want to thank PadelSpain and all the World Padel Awards organizers for the opportunity to be part of this event. And of course, the Hexagon Cup for giving us a week of spectacular padel.
For us, being part of the padel family isn't just a business strategy. It's who we are. And moments like these give us the energy to keep working on making Padel Rivals the best padel video game ever created.
