What we lived at Gàmesis 2026

Three non-stop days

We are back from Gàmesis 2K26 tired and very happy. From 16 to 18 October we were in Zona 1 at Vinalab in Vinaròs together with Omega World Games, with two PCs and a queue that barely went away all weekend.

Once home we went through the data the game stores, and it gives a pretty good idea of how it went. People played 247 matches, almost 29 hours of play, and across all those matches 527 player slots were filled. Saturday was the big day, with 104 matches.

A game to play with someone next to you

This is what we liked most about the numbers. 82% of the matches were local multiplayer, with 156 two-player matches, 17 three-player and 30 four-player. People arrived in groups, grabbed a controller each and started playing.

And between people the game is pretty balanced. In head-to-head two-player matches, wins ended up split 29 to 27, which is exactly what we want to see.

The first official Padel Rivals tournament

On Sunday at 10:30 the first official Padel Rivals tournament was played, 2v2 and organised with Omega World Games. It was a morning of matches with a crowd around, and the final was brutal, the kind you remember. Then came the awards ceremony on the Gàmesis stage.

Watching pairs fight to win a tournament of a game we are still making is hard to put into words. We will keep it as one of the best moments of the year.

Thanks to Omega World Games for setting up the tournament and sharing the stand with us, to the Ajuntament de Vinaròs and the whole Gàmesis team for looking after us, and to everyone who sat down to play.

Next up, VDS

No time to unpack. This Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October we will be at the Valencia Digital Summit, at the Valencia Game City stand.

And if you want to try Padel Rivals from home, here is how.
