Three days of Padel Rivals in Vinaròs

We are hitting the road again. On Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October we will be at Gàmesis 2K26, the video game gathering in Vinaròs, which reaches its fourteenth edition this year. And of course we are bringing Padel Rivals.

This time we are going with Omega World Games, the same people we joined this summer in Llosa de Ranes and Castelló. They have set up a Padel Rivals tournament for Sunday morning, and we are really looking forward to it.

What Gàmesis is

Gàmesis is organised by the Ajuntament de Vinaròs at Vinalab, on Carrer de Galícia 12. There are talks and workshops with people from the industry, tournaments, a Pro & Dev area for studios, retrogaming with arcade machines and consoles, cosplay, virtual reality and simulators. It is a good plan for a weekend of playing games and meeting the people who make them, and for a small studio like ours it is a great place to show the game and listen to players.

What you will find at our stand

We will be in Zona 1, the Gaming and Arcade area, all three days, with two PCs running Padel Rivals whenever the event is open. On Friday it opens to the public at 16:00, and on Saturday and Sunday at 10:00.

You can play solo against the AI or come with friends, since local multiplayer supports up to four controllers on the same screen. Honestly, that is when it is most fun.

We will also bring a few surprises and prizes for the people who sit down to play. We will not say more, you will have to drop by.

Padel Rivals tournament with Omega World Games

On Sunday 18 at 10:30 the Padel Rivals 2v2 tournament prepared by Omega World Games takes place. It is part of the official Gàmesis programme, it is free and it is played in pairs. Places are limited, so find a partner and sign up on the Gàmesis website.

Keep in mind that you need to arrive 30 minutes early to collect your player bib and that you cannot sign up for two tournaments at the same time. Under-12s need a parental permission form. The full programme is on their website too.

Why we are going

The Padel Rivals Playtest has been open on Steam since 1 September and we keep tweaking the game with what you tell us. Even so, watching someone play in front of you teaches things no form ever will. You see where they get stuck, which shot they try and when they burst out laughing.

We saw it with Omega this summer. Kids were fighting over the controller, parents were asking for a rematch and padel players spotted the bandeja straight away. We are going to Gàmesis with the same idea of watching a lot and writing everything down.
